Samuel Davis, known throughout the gaming community as MrOwlSky, has been the driving force behind GameServersHub since its inception. What started as a passionate side project in 2011 has evolved into one of the premier platforms for gaming server management and community building.
Early Days: GamingOGs (2017)
In 2017, Samuel was managing a gaming network called "GamingOGs" alongside his close personal friend and business partner, NaughtyByNature. They met on EliteArk gaming servers where Samuel served as an admin. Their shared passion for gaming and community building led them to establish GamingOGs together, which became a vibrant and successful community that flourished for years.
Birth of GameServersHub (2018)
GameServersHub emerged from a vibrant Discord community where server administrators and owners from various gaming communities would converge to seek technical assistance and share best practices. The Discord community quickly gained traction, leading to the formal establishment of the GameServersHub brand.
Technical Excellence (2019-2021)
Samuel dedicated years to building the GSH website foundation, working tirelessly in his free time. In 2020, he co-founded the ArkServerAPI project with Michidu, creating the renowned Ark Server API framework. The domain GameServersHub.com was officially purchased in 2021, marking the launch of the website after several years of development.
Building the Leadership Team (2022)
Recognizing the need for expansion, Samuel promoted both That411Guy (Michael Harrison) and mxl_ninjaz (Joshua Fowler) to leadership roles within GSH. The company transitioned from being solely owned by Samuel to being co-owned by all three members, forming a leadership council to govern the company.
Full-Time Dedication (2023-Present)
In 2023, Samuel transitioned from part-time to full-time dedication to GSH. Under his leadership as the "Marketing Team," GSH reached highs of over 100,000+ monthly web traffic. He continues to focus on SEO strategies, growth initiatives, and maintaining GSH's strong online presence while being the sole developer of the entire platform.
