Building Gaming Communities Since 2011
From a passionate solo project to a thriving platform serving hundreds of thousands of gamers
Launch of GamingOGs Marketplace
MrOwlSky was managing a gaming network called "GamingOGs" alongside his close personal friend and business partner, NaughtyByNature. This year marked a pivotal moment when the idea of expanding GamingOGs to include an online marketplace for all things gaming-related was first proposed.
NaughtyByNature, a trusted confidant of MrOwlSky, officially met him on EliteArk gaming servers, where MrOwlSky served as an admin. Their shared passion for gaming and community building led them to establish GamingOGs together.
Emergence of GameServersHub
GameServersHub (GSH) was officially founded by MrOwlSky, emerging from a vibrant and supportive Discord community. Initially, GSH began as a Discord-based tech support hub where server administrators and owners from various gaming communities could converge.
The Discord community quickly gained traction, providing invaluable support and fostering a collaborative environment. This success led to the formal establishment of the GameServersHub brand.
Laying GSH's Digital Foundations
After a year of expanding the Discord community, the idea of creating an official website for GameServersHub (GSH) was proposed. MrOwlSky dedicated his free time over the next two years to building and developing the foundation of the GSH website.
This initiative aimed to provide a centralized platform that would complement the thriving Discord community, offering additional resources, tools, and support for the broader gaming server community.
Launch of ArkServerAPI Project
MrOwlSky co-founded the ArkServerAPI Discord project with his close friend and collaborator, Michidu. Having previously worked together on the GamingOGs project, Michidu brought his expertise in development to create the renowned Ark Server API framework.
During this year, MrOwlSky also enlisted the help of a fellow staff member known as "That411Guy" to moderate and manage his Ark gaming servers.
GameServersHub.com Goes Live
The domain GameServersHub.com was officially purchased, marking the launch of the website after several years of development. This milestone provided a central platform for the gaming community.
During this period, MrOwlSky was also running gaming servers for the content creator NakedZombo, ensuring a smooth and engaging experience for his audience.
New Ventures and Leadership at GameServersHub
Michidu decided to retire from his role in the ArkServerAPI project due to an increasingly busy real-life schedule. This led to an official offer from GameServersHub (GSH) to acquire ArkServerAPI.
During this transformative year, MrOwlSky promoted both That411Guy and mxl_ninjaz to leadership roles within GSH, forming a leadership council to govern the company.
Hosting and Strategic Expansion
GameServersHub (GSH) experienced its most significant updates and quality-of-life improvements to date. This milestone year marked MrOwlSky's transition from part-time to full-time dedication to building and expanding GSH.
The hosting branch of GSH saw substantial growth, culminating in a major partnership with the game studio behind the "Path of Titans" video game.
Current Milestones and Forward Momentum
MrOwlSky officially took on the role of "Marketing Team" for GameServersHub (GSH), focusing on SEO strategies and growth initiatives. GSH reached highs of over 100,000+ in monthly web traffic.
This year also saw significant discussions regarding the company's legal structure and leadership roles, establishing legal protections for GSH.
